British Bed Making Since 1904
Hypnos has been making beds in Britain since 1904 and remains a family-run manufacturer today. Its mattresses bring together generations of bed-making expertise with modern spring technology, while retaining traditional techniques such as hand tufting and hand side stitching.
Natural Materials and Breathable Comfort
A key part of the Hypnos approach is the use of natural and responsibly sourced fillings. Materials such as wool and cotton are used across its ranges to create breathable, comfortable mattresses without relying on conventional foam fillings.
Pocket Sprung Support
Hypnos is particularly well known for its pocket sprung mattresses. Individual springs respond independently to movement and pressure, helping to provide balanced support across the body and reduce movement transfer between sleepers.
A Reputation for Quality
Hypnos has held Royal Warrants for generations and currently holds a Royal Warrant from His Majesty King Charles III for the manufacture of beds, mattresses and upholstery. The brand has also received recognition for its approach to sustainability, including the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development.
