Silentnight Mattresses

It’s not until you are bed-ridden that you realise the value of rest only a good mattress can bring.  Shop online, visit the stores just do what ever you have to do to find the mattress that’s right for you.  It’ll be better then you could ever dream it would be!

After suffering from a bad back my whole life, a slipped disc sent me into a 4 week lock down…in bed.  My son was quick to sense my frustration and went out shopping with his wife for a new mattress and bedstead.  He came back with a simple (I hate to have too much fuss) metal bedstead and the most luxurious mattress I’ve had the pleasure on lying on. They chose a Silentnight mattress for me and I have to say, it cushioned and caressed every inch of my aching body making me feel more restored after what has been a genuinely good night sleep. The mattress’s genius lies behind the Miracoil spring system which is not only breathable and well ventilated but also evenly distributes my weight throughout the bed without causing a slump in any one section of the mattress that always left a dent in my old mattress.

The Miracoil Mattress that my son purchased for me is hand tufted for that hotel-style luxury I never thought to afford myself. I genuinely feel that it’s these creature comforts that allow you to better perform in your day-to-day life. It responds to my body contours while firmly supporting my back, neck and lower body.

Conclusion

I have fully recovered from my back problem that left me bed-ridden. Somehow I feel a large part of that is due to the rest afforded to me by the Silentnight mattress that redefined the term ‘good night’s sleep!

Sealy Mattresses

When it comes to selecting a new mattress, the options are virtually limitless. There are mattresses made with springs, those made with coils, those made of foam and those that combine various materials.

But really all you want is a good night’s sleep.

Now, thanks to Sealy, that is just a simple choice away.

“A mattress shouldn’t come with a learning curve,” said Mark Delahanty, vice president of marketing for Sealy.

The company, the nation’s largest bedding manufacturer, recently debuted its Embody line, which provides a healthier night’s sleep and the easiest way to figure out what mattress you need to slumber in peace.

Delahanty said the choice is as simple as determining if you like the “on feeling or the in feeling.”

With latex foam, you sleep on the mattress, whereas with visco memory foam you sleep in the mattress because it adapts to your shape and envelopes you, he said.

The Embody line launched with eight mattresses, four each in latex or visco memory foam, all of which provide a comfortable, supportive and breathable surface for sleeping.

The change in describing the feel of the mattress was intended to make the purchasing decision less taxing on consumers, Delahanty said.

“We’ve been in the specialty mattress business for several years. I’ve watched it evolve and it’s been overcomplicated and underserved,” he said. “We’ve created a simple dialogue.”

“Consumers are increasingly looking for simplification, in other words, less is more. The Embody line was inspired by the simplicity and health-promoting properties of foam mattresses that support the body in all of the right places,” added Larry Rogers, Sealy president and CEO.

The mattresses are made of 100 percent foam. Delahanty said they were made carefully as one piece to ensure the layers work in unison to support the body and provide long-lasting comfort.

Either type of foam provides a healthy night’s rest because it is hypoallergenic and dust-mite resistant.

Additionally, Sealy partnered with Polartec to develop a fabric for the exterior of the mattresses that has built-in air channels allowing it to breathe, wick away the moisture and dry quickly. It’s also anti-microbial.

Another benefit of the Body Climate by Polartec fabric is its ability to remove the heat element that is a common complaint from those who have visco foam mattresses. “The air flow prevents heat buildup. It sleeps like the cool side of a pillow,” Delahanty said.

Just last month, Sealy was named one of Polartec’s 12 North American APEX Award winners for its innovative use of the fabric. Winners were selected by how they exhibited versatility, function and unique design with an emphasis on aesthetics. Body Climate by Polartec is used exclusively on Sealy mattresses.
